HIKING TOUR

Day I: TBILISI
Arrival in Tbilisi; transfer from airport to the hotel, accommodation.
Day II:
TBILISI - MTSKHETA
Breakfast in the hotel and city tour. The city offers a great variety of sights, most of them very ancient: Metekhi church (XIIIc.), Narikala Fortress (IV.c.) – one of the oldest fortifications in the city,Anchiskhati church (VI c.) and Sioni Church (VI-VIIc.c.). After lunchwe visit the treasuries of the Georgian National Museum (Gold Fund of Georgia). Drive to visit Mckheta- ancient capital and religious centre of Georgia with its UNESCO world Heritage sites: Jvari Monastery (VI c.) and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (XI c.). Return to Tbilisi; dinner and overnight.
Day III: TBILISI - GUDAURI
Breakfast in the hotel and drive to Gudauri. On the way visit Ananuri Castle (17th c.). Lunch in Gudauri.
Easy trekking to Hut “Kostini” (2650m). Overnight in Gudauri.
Day IV: GUDAURI - KAZBEGI - CHAUKHI MOUNTAINS
Drive to Kazbegi. Trek to Sameba church (1.5 h.). After lunch drive to Sno valley, to Chaukhi mountains. 2 h. trek to the base camp. Night in tent.
Day V: Trek to the summit. Night in tent.
Day VI: Trek to the Khevsureti area. Night in tent close to vil. Roshka.
Day VII:
Trek from Rohska to the valley. Drive to the camp place close to vil. Chargali. Visit Vaja-Pshavela museum in Chargali. Night in tent.
Day VIII:
Drive to vil. Magaroskari. Rafting on the river Aragvi. After rafting picnic with barbecue. Drive back to Tbilisi. Transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day IX:
Transfer to airport. End of tour.
In case of force major circumstances the agency reserves the right to make some necessary changes.
The luggage will be carried by horses (days 4, 6, 7).
